Udupi : Under the leadership Ansar Ahmed, President of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV) staged a silent protest near the War Memorial at Ajjarkad here on Monday, 26^th April, demanding justice for the 8 year old Kathuva rape and murder victim.

Protesting persons demanded the strong punishment to the accused Vishal Jangothra, Deepak Kaju Riya, Sanji Ram, Tilak Raj and burned their photos and demanded strong laws for such inhuman crimes in the country.

Ansar Ahmed   also demanded the severe punishment to the accused. He said the adoption, rape and then murder which is shame to the entire human community. In the beginning, the police have tried to close the case. When the case was handed over to the crime branch of Jammu and Kashmir, the entire incident came to light.

All over the nation the rape and murder case has been condemned by all. Even the United Nations expressed shock over the rape and murder of the innocent minor girl. Whenever such cases take place, the first question would be that which religion she belongs to. This thought should be changed.

He said that all the political parties same that such crimes are using their political gains. We demand such politics should be come to an end. Without looking the religion of the accused, severe punishment should be imposed and such mentality should be ended.

We can see various places in the country such gang rapes and atrocity on women. Gang rape crimes come to light in Uttar Pradesh, Maharastra, Madya Pradesh and Uttar Kannada of Karnataka. We do not know the country is heading. We need strict rule for rapists like Gulf Countries which will reduce the violence against the women in the country.

Rehman Padubidri, Sudheer, Santhosh Shetty Panjimaru, Junaid, Rehman, Sahil Rehmutullha, Sandeep, Kishan, Sameer and other were present during silent protest.
