Udupi : Vinay Kumar Sorake filed his nomination papers on Congress Party candidate at Bannanje here on Monday, 23rd April, 2018.
Prior to the filing of his nomination papers, Vinay Kumar Sorake offered puja at Kaup Janardhan Temple, Manjunatheshwara Temple at Kadri, Naga Brahmastana at Padubidri, Vishwanathakshetra at Katpadi and Marigudi at Kaup.
After that, Vinay Kumar Sorake visited St Francis Xavier’s Church at Udyavara and offered prayers. Then he also visited the Bishop Most Rev Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo, Udupi diocese at Udupi and seeks his blessings.
After, Vinay Kumar Sorake along with his supporters proceeded towards Election office at Bannanje to file his nomination papers to the Returning officer.
Along with Vinay Kumar Sorake, Ivan D’Souza MLC, Wilson Rodrigues ZP member, Naveenchandra Shetty, Pangala Harish Shetty, Ibrahim Manhar were present during the nomination papers.
Later speaking with the media persons, Vinay Kumar Sorake said that from tomorrow onwards we will start the election campaign meetings at various places within his constituency. We will seek vote from the people with the developmental works taken to the constituency. We are sure, the congress party will win in the Kaup constituency.
He said Rahul Gandhi visited his Kaup assembly constituency and Rahul Gandhi as well as Priyanka Gandhi also visits coastal Karnataka.
