St Anthony ward of Milagres Cathedral celebrates annual ward feast

Udupi : The annual ward feast of St Anthony Ward, Kallianpur ‘B’ ward of the Milagres Cathedral, Kallianpur celebrated on Sunday, 13th May, 2018 at Ozanam Home for the aged premises.
The thanksgiving mass for the St. Anthony, the patron saint held on Sunday, 6th May which celebrated by Rev Fr. Rolwin Aranha, Asst. Parish Priest of Milagres Cathedral. The ward faithful conducted the liturgy during the thanksgiving mass.
The get together of ward people held at Ozanum Home at 11.30 am. Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo, Rector of the Milagres Cathedral, Rev Fr. Rolwin Aranha, Rev Fr. Herald Mathias Superior of Pilar Fathers, Kallianpur, Dr. Nery Cornelio and Felciana Lewis Vice President and Secretary of parish pastoral council were present on the dais.
Raymond Crasta Gurkar of Kallianpur B ward welcomed the gathering. Godfreeda Sequiera secretary of the ward placed the report for the year. The transferring priests Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo and Rev Fr. Rolwin Aranha were honoured during the occasion. Meanwhile, Royden Dominic D’Souza the university rank holder also honoured during the occasion. Eugene Rebello spoke on honouring dignitaries.
Marcelin Pinto conducted various games and prizes were distributed to the winners of the various games. Very Rev Fr. Stany B Lobo and Rev Fr. Rolwin Aranha gave their festive messages and appreciated the ward people for their contribution for the development and unity in the society.
Prof. Joseph Fernandes compared the programme. Former Gurkar of the ward Elias Crasto proposed vote of thanks and also former gurkar of the ward Alfred D’Souza conducted the prayers. Lunch was served to all the participants after the programme. Former Vice President of Milagres Cathedral, Leslie Lewis present during the programme. The nuns of Rose Convent and nuns of Ozanum Home and inmates of Ozanum Home were present.
