Udupi : Narendra Modi led Union government not done expected level achievements, said Pejawar Math pontiff Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji.
Addressing to media persons during the press meet held at Pejawar Math here on Friday, 1st June, Pejawar Swamiji said that few developments done by the central government, but not expected achievement done by this government.
Swamiji said that Modi government failed to fulfill the promises of the people. Black money not brought back to India, Ganga not cleaned, in some cases, the development done by the Modi government and regularized some of the economic developments, he said.
Query to media persons on construction of Ram Mandir, Pejawar Swamiji said that as far as construction of Ram Mandir, he said that is not so important, but the most important that to marginalized economic developments and farmers security. After wards the issue of construction of Ram Mandir comes. The issue of construction of Ram Mandir has been in the court of law and we have to wait for the judgement on the issue, he said.
He said that he will oppose the intention of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah on the Congress free in the country. In order to become strong country, there should be need to strong opposition in the centre in order to be a strong nation.
Due to the operation of political MLAs, Resort politics, the democracy has distorted. Prior to election canvassing the politicians shown their ugly games with each other and later for the power, these politicians united to form the government. These politicians knew to fight each other and support each other. It would be all drama on politics. Hence, there is need to form the government with all parties united, but it would be not possible, he said.
Quarry on BJP would loose the popularity in the country; he said presently most of the opposition parties united to face the BJP’s popularity. We can see the downfall of the BJP in the future elections. Since during the Modi government in four years, the expected developments were not done by the centre. The government failed to fulfill the reforms in favour of farmers. We looking for some of the developments in remaining one year by the Modi government, he said.
Asking a query, Swamiji said that he would organize Iftar if Muslim leaders came forward this year also. Last year there was a complication created due to Iftar at Sri Krishna Math premises. I respect all religious people. But, if something goes against the Hindu religion, I must protest. My intention is very clear that we must respect all religions. He argues that the facilities available for the minorities should also avail even majority people. Hence, when I told to amendment of the constitution, there was huge complications occurred, he said.
