Udupi : The Titular Feast of Our Lady of Miracles at Milagres Cathedral of Udupi Diocese celebrates with devotion and gaiety on Monday, 9^th July, 2018.

Most Rev Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi diocese concelebrated Solemnly High Eucharistic Mass with more than 26 priests of Kallianpur deanery with former Vicar Rev Fr. Oswald Lasrado, Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo, Chancellor of the diocese and parish priest of Udyavar church, Very Rev Fr. Valerian Mendonca, Dean of Udupi Deanery, Very Rev Fr. Denis D’Sa Dean of Shirva Deanery, parishioner priests and others.

In his homily Bishop pointed out the importance of Holy Bible. Holy Bible is the way of our life. The Holy Bible is an incredible book of history and proves that there is a God created all things. Most important of all, the Bible is the Word of God which contains the mind of God His will for each one of our lives. The Word of God is totally authoritative. We Christians can be totally secure in the Lord by studying the Bible because it is God’s plan for our life.

The firgent and main sponsor of the titular feast of Our Lady of Miracles was children of late A. D’Silva and late Angeline D’Silva. On behalf of their family Gilbert D’Silva of Kallianpur A ward honoured with decorated candle by the Bishop. The feast celebrated the family since 72 years.

At the end of the celebration Very Rev Dr. Lawrence D’Souza placed the words of gratitude to the Bishop, priests and all concerned. He also conveyed wishes the parishioner’s, nuns, outstation parishioners and all concerned on the occasion of titular feast.

Bishop also at the end conveyed his gratitude and wished the parishioners’ and all concerned. He called to hold Rosary every Novena Day of Our Lady of Miracles on Saturday prior to the mass at 6.30 am.

The Cathedral filled with large devotees of Mother of Miracles who was in much devotion and gaiety. Large devotees burned the candles near the Miracles statue of Our Mother Mary. Sunshine Brass Band gave tune prior to the mass and after the mass. Most of the devotees after the mass were busy with conveying festive wishes one another.
