Udupi : Lathavya Acharya, brother of deceased Shiroor Math’s Swamiji Lakshmivara Theertha Swamiji has filed a complaint with Hiriyadka Police suspecting foul play in his brother’s mysterious death.
Speaking to media persons, Kemaru Swamiji said that there were no such signs of death of Shiroor Swamiji. He pressed the government to meddle with the case and take actions immediately. Normally Shiroor Swamiji used to intake mostly the liquid food. He talked with Kemaru Swamiji five days earlier and will go for court against the six other Swamijis of Astha Math, Kemaru Swamiji said.
Mystery shrouded the death of 54 year old seer and section raised the demand for CBI probe into the case.
Earlier Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy had stated that an inquiry into the death may be ordered if it is necessary provided it is being claimed as an unnatural death. Parameshwar, deputy chief minister and also Home Minister had categorically stated that the probe can be taken up only if someone complains about it.
The Police have already started the investigations and are looking into various angles soon after a communication of the KMC hospital stated that there are suspicions on the death.
