Udupi : A 28 year old woman native of Kuthyar near Shirva near here who was working in a hospital run by the government health department of Saudi Arabia has met with death under mysterious circumstances.

The deceased Hazel Jyotsna Quadros former native of this reporter near Agardande, Mudarangadi parish, wife of Ashwin Mathias, a resident of Daddu in Baggathota Road, Kuthyaru near Shirva was the daughter of Robert Quadros and Helen Quadros.

Hazel was working as a nurse at the Al-Mikhwa hospital in Saudi Arbia for the last 6 years as nurse. On 19^th July she had called her husband Ashwin and spoken to him. Two days after Ashwin Mathias received a call from Hazel’s colleague saying that Hazel had expired.

But Ashwin and his family does not know the exactly that how the death of his wife happened. The deceased family upset about the mysterious Hazel’s death. The family members upset of young death of Hazel who married Ashwin four years ago. Her husband Ashwin was working in Dubai in the past. After he returned from Dubai, the family had built a new house at Baggathota Road, Kuthyaru. Hazel had come home during the house warming ceremony as well as during the Ramzan holidays.

The family members contacted their former neighbor Ivan D’Souza MLC and asked to find out the exact reason of the death. With the help of Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat and Ivan D’Souza contacted the Union Foreign Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj at New Delhi. The foreign ministry has assured all assistance with the help of Sushma Swaraj.

Meanwhile the Shirva ZP member Wilson Rodrigues has contacted the Deputy Commissioner of Udupi district Smt Priyanka Mary Francis and assured to try her best to get information from the Saudi Embassy about the death of Hazel.

This reporter knew her since childhood of her who religious and simple character with her family members. She was very smart in education and served for various associations of the Mudarangadi parish.
