Udupi : The condolences meet for deceased Sri Laxmivara Theertha Swamiji of Shiroor Mutt will be held on 18^th August, 2018.

The committee of followers’ of Shiroor Swamiji was conducted a meeting on Saturday, 11^th August at Mathura Chathra Hall. Advocate Ravikiran Murdeshwar one of the close associate of deceased Shiroor Swamiji during the meeting said that many people still confusions’ in the case and wanted a fair investigation into Shiroor Swamiji’s death case. Only complaint was filed as it was an unnatural death. But still there is no FIR registered in the police station. Once post-mortem and FSL report comes everything will be clear. If the poison content is mentioned in the forensic report and toxicology department, if there is doubt about his unnatural death, FIR must be filed, he said.

The committee demands the support of the police department and a proper investigation can be carried out in this case. He said some poisonous content can remain for 100 years, but some contents remain only for one week. If the case is getting late, there may be chances of closing it. Hence FIR must be registered on right time to reveal the truth, he said.

Esha Vittala Swamiji of Kemaru Math, one of the strong supporters of deceased Shiroor Swamiji said that we are hoping to get positive reply from the police investigation team. Once all concerned death report comes, there will be clear picture.

Swamiji said that he has getting lot of threat calls, messages on the WhatsApp and other social media platforms. I do not care of such threats. I am a swamiji of non-brahmin community and I was upset over the recent developments. If there are really courageous, let them come in front of me. Then I will ready to answer those who are giving threat messages, he said.

Swamiji said that he was very active for social causes like Nethavathi river project SEZ and other issues. When I fight for the better cause, I have no funds to do that and I don’t want any funds to fight for the social better causes. I am not doing for the sake of my selfishness or for money. I do not want any money or any name for that. I am Hindu religious leader. There is a Hindu custom that Hindu religious leader must get a good funeral rite his death. We have requested with all other Ashta Math Seers to perform funeral rites as per the Hindu tradition which also their duty. He requested Sode Math incharge to take the responsibility, he said.
