Shocking News: Two  Kemmannu Youth die of Electrocution.

Kemmannu, 22 August 2018: In a sad and unfortunate incident two Kemmannite youth died of electrocution. The incident happened in a small islet near Farangi Kudru. The deceased are Rakesh (22) from Baligere Kudru near Kemmannu Son of Sanjeeva Belchada, a coconut picker by profession and Kirthan (21) of Gazni near PaduKudru, son of Krishna Kanchan. He was a Final year B.Com student at Tenkanidiyoor Government College.

The two friends had gone on fishing in a canoe and upon seeing the severed fallen wire, tried to shift it and were electrocuted. The islet has one deserted house and the electric line was used to provide power to the nearby island.

Rakesh is survived by parents, sister and a sick Grand Mother. He was a young coconut picker known to many in Kemmannu. His death has shattered the family as he was the bread winner for them.

Kirthan is the youngest of the three children of Krishna Kanchan who is a Fisherman. He has an elder brother and sister. He was a bright student, a very good Volleyball player and a member of NSS team of the college.

Police has registered the case and investigation is on.

ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಆಘಾತದಿಂದ ಮೃತರ ಮನೆಗೆ ಸಚಿವೆ ಜಯಮಾಲಾ ಭೇಟಿ: ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಂತ್ವನ

ಉಡುಪಿ, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 23 (ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ವಾರ್ತೆ) : ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಕೆಮ್ಮಣ್ಣು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಫರಂಗಿ ಕುದ್ರು ಬಳಿ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ತಂತಿ ತಗುಲಿ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟ, ಕೀರ್ತನ್ ಪುತ್ರನ್ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಕೇಶ್ ಬೆಳ್ಚಡ ಅವರ ಮನೆಗೆ ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಉಸ್ತುವಾರಿ ಸಚಿವೆ ಡಾ. ಜಯಮಾಲಾ ಗುರುವಾರ ಭೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಿ, ಮೃತರ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಂತ್ವನ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಮೊದಲು ಕೀರ್ತನ್ ಅವರ ಮನೆಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದ ಸಚಿವೆ ಡಾ.ಜಯಮಾಲಾ ಅವರು ಮೃತ ಕೀರ್ತನ್ ಅವರ ತಂದೆ , ತಾಯಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಅವರ ಬಂಧುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಂತ್ವನ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಬಳಿಕ ರಾಕೇಶ್ ಬೆಳ್ಚಡ ಅವರ ಮನೆಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದ ಸಚಿವರು ಮೃತರ ತಂದೆ ಹಾಗೂ ತಾಯಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕುಟುಂಬ ವರ್ಗದವರಿಗೆ ಸಾಂತ್ವನ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಮೃತ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಯುವಕರಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇನ್ನೂ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಬಾಳಿ ಬದುಕಬೇಕಾಗಿದ್ದವರು, ಆದರೆ ಆಕಸ್ಮಿಕ ಅವಘಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿರುವುದು ನೋವಿನ ಸಂಗತಿ, ಮೃತರ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ನೋವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಭಾಗಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಯಾವ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲೂ ಹೋದ ಜೀವವನ್ನು ಮರಳಿ ತರಲಾಗದು, ಕುಟುಂಣಬಕ್ಕೆ ಆಧಾರವಾಗಬೇಕಿದ್ದ ಈ ಯುವಕರ ಸಾವು ಇವರ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಆಧಾರ ಸ್ಥಂಬವನ್ನೇ ಕಳಚಿದಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ.

ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ನೆರವಾಗುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಮೆಸ್ಕಾಂ ಇಲಖೆಯ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ತಕ್ಷಣ 5 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಪರಿಹಾರ ನೀಡುವ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಚಿವರು ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರ ಭೇಟಿಯ ನಂತರ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಮೃತರ ಮನೆ ಭೇಟಿ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಜಿ ಸಚಿವ ಪ್ರಮೋದ್ ಮಧ್ವರಾಜ್ ಮತ್ತಿತರರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

ಮೆಸ್ಕಾಂ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ

ಜನವಸತಿ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಡಿದು ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ತಂತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ಅಪಾಯದ ಅಂಚಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಕಂಬಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಷಣ ತೆರವುಗೊಳಿಸುವಂತೆ ಸಚಿವರು ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಮೆಸ್ಕಾಂ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ ನೀಡಿದರು.
