‘SANTHOSH VILLA’ Media Awareness Kannada short film was released by Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo on 1st September 2018 at Udupi Church hall. Fr Valerian Mendonca, Director of Udupi Communication Centre, Fr Chetan Lobo OFM Cap, PRO and editor of Uzvaad Magazine, Vinod Gangolli, director of the film, Vinay Suvarna, writer, Leslie Cornelio, animator ICYM, Glanish Saldanha, president ICYM Udupi, Oliver Rebello, Jovita Fernandes, Ashwin Correa, judges of Marian singing competition were present on this occasion.
Fr Valerian Mendonca briefed about the motto of the film and spoke about the need of awareness towards the present day media.
Bishop Gerald Lobo congratulated Fr Valerian Mendonca and team for this unique initiative and wished all the best for this venture of spreading the good message to the society.
Leslie Cornelio thanked all and Shaila Fernandes compered the programme
‘Santhosh Villa’ is a 12 minutes Kannada short film produced by Fr Valerian Mendonca for ICYM Udupi. Screenplay by Vinay Suvarna and Directed by Vinod Gangolli. It highlights the addiction to modern media and the disadvantages and bad effects on family life. The film can be watched on Tube by typing the title Santhosh Villa Kannada film.
