St John the Evangelist church celebrated the community day on  18th November 2018

Thanksgiving Eucharistic celebration was offered.  During the felicitation  programme the chief guest Rev. Fr Herald Pereira (diocesan director for Small Christian Community) appreciated  the parish community for having taken key interest to build up action Small Christian Community  in the parish, he also lauded the hard work put in by the parishioners to organise this great event.  in his presidential  address the parish priest Rev. Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves invited the gather community to follow the teaching of Jesus Christ and be a messengers of service, on this occasion the Gurkars, convenors of 18 commissions were honoured.

Mr. joseph castelino (convenor of SCC) presented the report of Small Christian community. Mr mark vaz, vice president of parish council welcomed the gathering,  on this occasion Rev. Fr. Paul Rego parish priest holy cross church, pamboor, Rev Fr Royson Fernandes, asst. priest pangla, Rev. fr. Vincent Coelho, principal, st john’s pu college, Rev. fr. Romeo lewis, sr precilla, mrs simmy d’souza, mr joseph castelino were present on the dias. Mrs clara mendonca proposed the vote of thanks, walston d’sa and flavia menezes compeered the programme, Cultural events from the  various grater wards were held, Mr john Rodrigues, chairman cultural committee, compeered the cultural programme, Sumptuous meal was served, entire programme well organised by the various committees, more than 1500 devotees witnessed the programme,
