Udupi : BJP under the Zilla Panchayat state cell was staged a protest meet at Deputy Commissioner’s office her on Friday, 23^rd November 2018.

Addressing the protestors, Shobha Karandlaje, Member of Parliament said that there is no state government existed and no developmental works nor administration running smoothly. In the coalition state government under the chief minister Kumaraswamy’s leadership nothing has been achieved in the state. The development works have come to completely standstill and even government is not interested in any development. The farmers of the state have been on protest every day and night since last six days. Meanwhile, the chief minister showed his poor standard by making irresponsible remarks against women farmers.

She said the chief minister deeply insulted the farmers and not allowed the farmers to express their grievances. Large number of farmers day by day makes suicides in the state. The chief minister not responding favourably for farmers in the state which disaster for the state government, she said.

Shobha Karandlaje said that Mathai, a sincere officer of Bruhat Bangaluru Mahanagara Palike has been transferred again that he was very sincere and efficient in his duties. He also one of the honest in his character and he has been transferred 20 times. Government may change officials duty but they are permanent. Government should think about that, she said.

She said that ten taluks have been declared drought-hit, but no drought relief works have been undertaken by the state government. Kumaraswamy announced Rs. 49,900 crore in the state budget under loan waiver scheme for the farmers. But nothing would be benefited so far.

She speaking on Bapuji Seva Kendra and Sakala, she said the government completely neglected. Several services are offered through these centers, government nothing know about the services and these centers not working also, she said.

Kota Srinivas Poojary MLC and opposition leader of legislative council, Jayapraksh Hegde former MP, Sunil Kumar Karkala MLA, Matar Rathnakar Hegde were spoke during the protest.

Sanoor Narasimha Kamath Convener of the cell pointed out the problems faced by the people due several problems in Bapuji and Sakala centers. Due to severe problems in scanners, internet, printer etc, the services were hit very badly.

Lalaji Mendon, Kaup MLA, Zilla Panchayat President Dinakar Babu, Vice President Sheela K Shetty, Nalini Pradeep Shetty President of Udupi Taluk Panchayat, Reshma Uday Shetty, Geethanjali Suvarna, Thingle Vikramarjun Shetty, Uday kumar Shetty and others were present.
