Puttur: The inaugural programme of Certificate Course in Spoken English Training was organized by PG Department of Economics, St Philomena College Puttur on January 4, 2019 in PG seminar hall.

    The Director of Suprabha Spoken English, Moodbidri Mrs. SulathaPrabhakar inaugurated the Course. She said, ‘English is the most spoken language in the world. There are millions of English speakers in the world. English is considered as the official language in 67 countries in the world.The command over English language is helpful to determine academic and career opportunities.’

    The HoD of English of the College Mrs. Bharathi S Rai participated as the chief guest and spoke about the importance of English language.

    The Campus Director and Chairman of Centre for PG Studies & Research of the College Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro delivered the presidential address.

    The Coordinator of the Department Prof. DinakaraRao and Convenor of Planning Forum Mr. Pradeep K S, Assistant Professors of the Department Ms. MahithaKumari and Ms. Navyashri were present on this occasion.

Ms Jayashri presented the prayer song. Ms Ashwitha Shetty welcomed the gathering. The Presdient of Planning Forum MsShabana P proposed the vote of thanks. Ms B T Sowmya compered the programme.
