People of district demand to solve the various problems of vehicles transport issues

Udupi : Solve the various problems in relate to vehicles transport in the district, people asked the Superintendent of Police, Laxman Nimbargi.
During the phone-in programme held on Friday, January 18, one of the caller said that the speed of the buses as well as other vehicles also in the Udupi city limit more which difficult to cross the roads and the pedestrians especially for senior citizens.
One caller from appreciated the Police for the introduction of color code for the auto-rickshaws in the district. SP said that the color code issued to Udupi city and other urban areas, so that one can identified the areas of the Auto rickshaws. One caller said that Autorickshaw drivers sitting on Kadekar bus stand which will disturbances to the people.
The calls relate to overcrowd in the buses Hebri-Belanje route and students standing on the footsteps of the buses, opposite direction driving on the Highway 66 at Krishna Milk Dairy, Hanghyo Ice Cream, Supreem Feeds, spitting while driving, problems to cross the Highway at Hanumantha Nagar, Nittur, opposite of MGM College and Madavakripa School, Padukere Malpe road etc.
One caller said with high beam LED lights, difficult to ride in two wheelers, the labours at Malpe riding motor bikes with three people without helmets etc.
SP Laxman Nimbargi said that there should be need to introduce some measures for the vehicles transport issues and need to introduce Zebra crossing, signal lights on the roads in the city.
SP said that border debar order is given to one person in relate to Matka issue and investigation under process in relate to matka issue. From December 21 to January 17 in matka issue 10 people arrested, one case registered in gambling and three people arrested. 3 cases in illegal alcohol, NDPS one, COPTA 66, driving with alcohol 15, shrill horns 182, mobile use while driving 88, without helmet 2,825, over speed driving 104 and other motor vehicles act defaulters 4,595 cases were registered, SP said.
