Udupi : District Jayakarnataka unit will boycott forthcoming Lok Sabha election against the both state and Union government failure in solving sand crisis in the district, said Jayakarnatala Udupi district committee President Sathish Poojary Saligrama.

Addressing protest meet at War Memorial, Ajjarkad near here on Tuesday, March 12, said that even though there were several protests against the sand crisis, both the governments failed to provide sand for the people of the district. There was a severe problem faced due to sand crisis especially for cooli workers and others. Some people taken loan for construction of houses, but not able to construct the house, he said.

Union government and state government in various things not in positive thinking that they are not interested for the development of the district and hence the people continuously facing various problems which injustice to the people. The Union government as well as state government elected representatives failed to response sand problem. How these elected representatives ask the vote, he questions.

Jayakarnataka members will give awareness against the polling and boycott the election in large scale.

Meanwhile, the leaders of Jayakarnataka said that since five years as Member of Parliament, Shobha Karandlaje not done any developmental works in Udupi-Chicmaglur Lok Sabha constituency. If Shobha Karandlaje contests in the Lok Sabha election, Jayakarnataka members not give support to her. She completely neglected the constituency and the people. She was never least responded to solve the sand crisis, fishermen missing or Kota double murder case. Rather Shobha Karandlaje has increased the several problems but not solved any, said Sathish Poojary Saligrama.

Our fight against the MP Shobha Karandlaje for neglecting the constituency, but we do not oppose any political party, he said.
