Udupi : Pratibha Puraskar – 2019 held at Milagres College, Kallianpur near here on Friday, March 29 at College Quadrangle. Very Rev Fr Dr. Lawrence C D’Souza Correspondent of Milagres Institutions and Secretary of Catholic Educational Society of Udupi Diocese presided over the programme.

Prior to the stage programme, Shambu Shetty, Rtd Officer, State Agriculture Department was launched the Smart Display System by pressing on remote control of the TV. Later Gopalakrishna Samaga, Asst. General Manager, Karnataka Bank, Regional Office, Udupi inaugurated the renovated library of the Milagres College.

The programme began with invocation by the students. Dr. Vincent Alva, Principal of Milagres College welcomed the gatherings and gave introduction on the guests on the dais.

Alfred F Crasto, Alumnus, CEO & MD, Morgan Forex Bureau and Group of Co., Nairobi, Kenya, the chief guest and Founder Sponsor of Best Out Going Student Award present year and every year in future said after distributing the best out going student awards that what I am today, that is alma mater is due of the Milagres College, Kallianpur. I am indebted to the college for making my life how it is today, he said.

Alfred Crasto said that I feel blessed to have been a part of this college which believes in making me grow as an individual rather than just getting average marks in the college examinations. I strongly believed God and I succeeded to get advantage of my talents. I learned the values of my life in this college which something made me a successful life, he said.

Alfred Crasto offered whole hearted support for the development of the college and the students. He gave credit to all teachers during his study in the college.

Gopalakrishna Samaga and Shambu Shetty spoke during the occasion. Very Fr Dr Lawrence C D’Souza gave his presiding address and gave gratitude to the donors for the college.

Meanwhile Gopalakrisha Samaga, Shambu Shetty and Jalaja S Shetty and Alfred F Crasto were felicitated during the occasion. 

General proficiency prizes were distributed to the students during the occasion by the guests on the dais. Five Best out Going students Award 2019 distributed to five students of the college by sponsor Alred Crasto and his parents during the occasion.

Prof. Annamma and Dr. Herald Monis, Directors’ of Students Welfare Council were present on the dais. Dr. Herald Monis delivered vote of thanks while Nisha Crasta compered the programme.

Jalaja Shambu Shetty, Retired professors,Retired librarians, retired office clerks, members of college management committee, members of Alumni association and large number of students were present.
