Print Udupi : Sri Vidyadeesha Theertha Swamiji of Paryaya Palimar Math anointed junior Swamiji on Sunday, May 12, at 12.30pm at Sri Krishna Math. He inducted Sri Vidyarajeshwara Theertha Swamiji as his successor and the 31st seer of Palimar Math.
Twenty year old Shailesh Upadyaya, the former name of the junior seer was anointed after he was accepted Sanyasa Deeksha. Earlier, various rituals as part of Sanyashashrama by Sri Vidyadheesha Theertha Swamiji held at Sri Krishna Math.
Later the senior seer took his junior to the sactum sanctorum of the temple and got him to perform the first puja to Lord Krishna. Pejarwar Math seers Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji and Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji, Krishnapur Math seer Sri Vidhyasagar Theertha Swamiji, Admar Math Seers Sri Vishwapriya Theertha swamiji and Eshapriya Theertha Swamiji, Krishnapur Math Seer Sri Vidyasagar Theertha Swamiji, Kaniyoor Math seer Sri Vidyavallabha Theertha Swamiji, Subramanya Math seer Sri Vidyaprasanna Theerts swamiji, Sode Math seer Sri Vishwavallable Theertha Swamiji, Bheemanakatte Sri Raghubarendra Theertha Swamiji were present.
Religious procedures connected with this program were guided by scholar Subramanya Bhat Gundibail, Udupi, Paryaya Math Divan Vedayayas Tantri, Kamblakatte Surendra Upadyaya and others were present.
