Print MLC Ivan D’Souza inaugurates Rain Water Harvesting at Valencia church
St Vincent Ferrer Church Valencia in association with Udayavani inaugurated rain water harvest processing at Valencia church premises on 7th Sunday 2019 at 9am.
Chief guest Ivan D’Souza speaking during the occasion lauded the initiative taken by the church for opting rain water harvesting.Valencia church is now an example for the entire district and state in the process of rain water harvesting.He also urged the parishioners to opt for the process at the their houses and make the best use of water.
Parish Priest Fr James D’Souza delivered the presidential address.
A 45mins session was conducted by Mr Rajendra Kalbavi project director of Dakshina Kannada Nimirthi Kendra NITK Surthkal.He spoke on the pro’s and cons of water harvesting.
Resident priest Fr Arun Lobo,Asst Pp Fr Joswin D’Souza,Vice-President of Parish Council Mr Anil Lobo,Secretary Mrs Lizzie Pinto,delegates of Udayavani were present.Around 300 parishioners were present for the program.
Mr Patrick D’Souza compèred the whole program.
