Udupi : As many has three men and three women found roaming in the streets and admitted at the Vishwasada Mane at Shankerpura are now returning back to their respective homes, said Pastor Sunil John D’Souza.

Addressing a media conference at Udupi Press Club here on Monday, July 15, Pastor Sunil John D’Souza said that these people belong to Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were found in very bad condition and they all were mentally ill.

On 22^nd Novermber 2016 near Manipal D. C. Office found a man with mentally ill, wore bad smelled dress. He was not speaking with anyone. He was 45 years old and was taken to Vishwasada Mane. He had one bag in his hand. He was taken care and medical treatment, he became normal. He told his name is Vittal ad he is from Gadag of Karnataka.

On date 11^th May 2016 near Kollur Highway one mentally ill person found, he don’t know where to go and he was roaming on the roadside. He was 50 years old. President of Vishwasada Mae and team took him to Vishwasada Mane. Then later he was showered, gave food and showed to doctor. Few days later he was came out from illness. Then he said his name is Nambayya and he is from Telangana.

 In Shankerpura near Katpady road side found one lady was drunk. She was speaking loudly by herself. She was bad smelled. She was about 45 years old mentally ill. On 24^th March 2017, Vishwasada Mene members took her to Ashram. They took care and gave medicine. She was totally come out of her illness. After some days she said that her name is Bhojamma, she is from Telangana. We informed to her family member. But till today they didn’t come to take her.

Near Kundapur Shastri circle, a homeless man found with big hair, correctly didn’t wore dress and he was mentally ill and was roaming on the road. He was 40 years old. One public person named Stephen D’Costa brought him to Vishwasada Mane on 4^th May 2016. Vishwasada Mane took care of him and he is totally free from his illness. He said his name is Suresh. He is from Bengaluru.

On 8^th February 2019, one lady was found at Shankerpura bus stand with mentally ill and scolding loudly. She was 30 years. Shirva Police and some public members brought her to Vishwasada Mane. The volunteers took care of her. She became perfect within one month. After that she told her name is Sijatha, she is from Andhra Pradesh. She was good at gardening.

One mentally ill lady was found in Krishna Math, Udupi and she didn’t taken shower from many days. On 31^st December 2015 Vishwasada Mane President Sunil John D’Souza brought her to Vishwasada Mane. After some days, she became normal. She said her name is Shobha and she is from Tumakuru, Kunifal. She was doing every work. She was bathing, washing other’s clothes. Like this she was doing all work.

Pastor Sunil John D’Souza said that on Tuesday, 16^th July, 2019, we are decided to send all six members to their respective family with the Vishwasada Mane staffs and with own vehicle.

D’Souza said that around 800 people have been sent back their home after their recovery. Presently there are around 150 inmates in the Vishwasada Mane Ashram which includes 40 children, men and women. Around 20 to 25 volunteers are taking care of them. Doctors, nurses and psychologists are treating them in the Ashram.

He said the ashram started in 2003 with one rented house at Shankerpura. Since then we were picked up from the road side being looked after in the ashram. Some of them orphans, support-less and mentally challenged persons. They are hailing from different states of India. Vishwasada Mane cares for them with their daily needs, food, shelter, physical treatments etc with love and care. From our lovely care and medical treatment, they regain their memory power.

Since they come back to their normal life and in order to keep them busy active we train them in difference field work. By doing this we are bringing them back to their normal condition and our main goal is to make then normal and perfect. As soon as their address is chased we send them back to their proper home with some of our responsible staff members on our own cost.
