Kallianpur: The Indian Catholic Youth Movement Kallianpur Deanery level youth convention “Yuva Samagam 2019” was held at the Our Holy Family Church, Brahmavar  on 11 August  2019.

The Deanery-level programme comprised of an inaugural ceremony, followed by a session on Small Christian Communities (SCC) and its methodology

The programme was inaugurated by opening the pingaras (arecanut flowers)  by Chief guest Fr Victor Fernandes, Parish priest Holy family Church Brahmavar and Fr Vincent Crasta followed by other dignatories on the dias where Mr.Ravi Prakash Gonsalves, Mr.Joel D’almeida, Mrs.Celestine D’almeida (parish Members) Venrold Lewis President Melrica Fernandes secretary of Kallianpur Deanery. Rolwin Lobo president  and Roshni Dsouza Secretary of   Holy Family Church Brahmavar and Parish committee Brahmavar.

Fr Vincent Robert Crasta Secretory of Catholic Educational Society  of Udupi Diocese   conducted morning session based on Small Christian Communities(SCC) 

Fr. Edwin addressed the gathering on "National Youth Sunday" and congratulated everyone for being present in huge number.

Thereafter the mass was offered by Rev. Fr. Victor Fernandes and sermon was given by Rev. Fr. Vincent Crasta. Representatives from all the units of Kallianpur Deanery took part in liturgy.

Post lunch ICYM groups from six units presented cultural program.

The valedictory function was presided by Fr Leslie Dsouza, ICYM Director of  Kallianpur Unit. Other dignitaries on the dais were Rev. Fr  Victor Fernandes Parish priest of Holy Family Church Brahmavar, Dion Dsouza President of Udupi  Diocese. Venrold Lewis President and  Melrical  Fernandes secretary of Kallianpur Deanery, Rolwin Lobo president  and Roshni Dsouza Secretary of Holy Family Church Brahmavar and Parish committee Brahmavar.

The pesidential talk was given by Fr. Leslie D’souza. Three members of different  units of Kallianpur Deanery shared their opinion about the programme.

Prize winners were announced by Mr. Dion D’souza, president ICYM Udupi Diocese

1st place Kemmannu unit

2nd place Kolalgiri unit

3rd place Sasthan unit

Rolwin Lobo welcomed the gathering and Roshni D’souza delivered the vote of thanks. The event concluded with a baila Dance.
