Print Fr. Reginald D’ Mello, New Secretary for Ecumenism Commission
Bangalore 12 August 2019 (CCBI): Reginald Edward D’Mello (54), from the Order of Preachers (OP) was appointed as the Secretary of the CCBI Commission for Ecumenism. The appointment was made by the 83rd Executive Committee meeting of the CCBI held on 10th August, 2019, Bangalore. Currently Fr. Reginald is the financial administrator of the Indian Province of Dominican Fathers. He holds Licentiate in Ecumenism and MA in Sociology. He was the former Director of Satyagiri, Dominican Centre for Inter-Religious and Ecumenical Dialogue, Igatpuri, Maharashtra (2008 – 2012). He is the visiting professor of Ecumenism at St Charles’ Seminary, Nagpur.
He was born on 18th March 1965, Kallianpur, Udupi Diocese, Karnataka and joined Dominican Order of Preachers in 1980. He made his final profession in 17th June 1990 and ordained priest on 26th April, 1992. He was the bursar and superior in novitiate community, Goa (1992 -1999) and financial administrator of St. Charles seminary, Nagpur (1999-2002). He was the Vice Provincial from 2012-2016.
