Kallianpur Cluster level Prathibha Karanji 2019 held on a grand scale at Milagres Eng. Med. Schools

Udupi : Kallianpur Cluster Level Prathibha Karanji competitions of 2019-20 were held at Milagres English Medium Kallianpur near here on Wednesday 21st August in a grand manner.
The event began with the prayer song led by students. Rev Fr Lancy Fernandes SJ, Principal of host school welcomed the gathering. Inauguration was held in a creative manner without the usual lighting of the lamp. Rev Fr Dr Lawrence C D’Souza, Correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions presided over the programme.
Mrs. Jyothikala CRP, Cluster level gave keynote address and appreciated and gave gratitude to the host Milagres English Medium School for hosting the events with grand manner.
The Block Education Officer (BEO) of Brahmavar Taluk was the chief guest. In his message he said that students must give importance to cultural events along with their studies to groom their personality and flourish in order to make a mark in life. Further he said that competitions foster competitive spirit and provide a suitable platform to identify ones talents. Dr Neri Cornelio, Member of the managing Committee of the school was the guest of honour. Mrs Rekha Shetty, Vice President of PTA, Mrs Veera D’Silva, Headmistress of Primary School, Mrs Jyothikala, CRP of Kallianpur Cluster.
In his presidential address Rev Fr Lawrence C D’Souza said that Christian Institutions wish the all round development of students and nothing less. Mr Prashanth compered the programme and Mrs Veera D’Silva proposed the vote of thanks. Mrs Sheela Andrade and Mrs Poornima the co-ordinators of Pratibha Karanji were instrumental in planning the event along with Mrs Savina and Mrs Mariet.
Student volunteers gave their best through their co-operation.The inauguration ended with the state anthem.
Later the competitions were held in three categories – Pre-primary, Primary and High school.
In the Pre- Primary section several competitions like Elocution (English, Kannada, Hindi), Declamation (English, Kannada, Marati, Urdu, Sanksrit, Tamil, Konkanni, Tulu, Telugu), Religious Text Reading (Sankrit& Arabic), Classical Singing, Drawing, Rangoli, Clay modelling, Action song, Devotional song, Folk dance, Patriotic song, Kolata, Kavali and Quiz were held.
For the High School section several competitions like Elocution (English, Kannada, Hindi), Declamation (English, Kannada, Marati, Urdu, Sanksrit, Tamil, Konkanni, Tulu, Telugu), Religious Text Reading (Sankrit& Arabic), Folk song, Classical Song, Mimicry, Rangoli, Patriotic song, Gazal, Yakshagana and Skit were held.
The Valedictory Programme began at 3 pm in the evening after the Mega Quiz competition. Mrs Felciana Lewis of Managing Committee, Mr Michael Mendonsa, PTA President, Mr Owin Rodrigues were present as guests. They distributed the prizes to all the winners.
Ms Anusha from High School compered the programme and Mrs Poornima from organising committee proposed the vote of thanks. The day was filled with numerous cultural events which ultimately concluded with the solemn singing of the National Anthem. All the teaching and non-teaching staff of Milagres worked unitedly for the success of the programme.
