Udupi : In order to solve the various serious problems faced by National Highways in district, the deputy commissioner and collector will visit in person in various affected areas of all National Highways in the district and trying to solve the problems, said Lalaji Mendon, MLA of Kaup.

During the 19^th Udupi Taluk general meeting which presided over by newly inducted president of Udupi Taluk Neetha Gururaj held at Udupi Taluk Office hall here on Wednesday, August 28, Dinesh Kotian member said that due to non-completion of NH 66 at Padubidre, several problems faced by the members of people. The bridge not yet finished nor service road of the highway also completed. Without the differences of parties, large members voiced the problems due to not completion of NH66 at Padubidre. Member Michael Ramesh D’Souza said that there is no bus stand and no street lights in Padubidri and people are suffering lot every day since years.

Responded by Lalaji Mendon, deputy commissioner will visit the all affected areas of NH 66 and NH169A and will trying to find the solution on NH problems.

The members pointed out several problems faced by the people of the Udupi taluk. Dr. Sunitha Shetty requested to the officials to solve the problem of non-payment of pension scheme and also to hold adalat for the purpose.

Vice President Bhujanga Shetty said even the amount in treasury, beneficiaries not depositing the amount. Udupi Tahildhar Pradeep Kurdekar said that account, record problems will be solved very soon and after the amount will be deposited for the beneficiaries.

Dinesh Kotian pressurized on solution for the waste disposal and need to survey government land for the distribution of such land to the houseless people at Padebettu.

During the occasion newly appointed Udupi Urban Development Authority Commissioner K Raju was felicitated. Prior to the meeting condolences paid to late Umesh Shetty member and former Union minister Jaipal Reddy. Former Udupi Taluk President Nalini Pradeep Rao, Michael Ramesh D’Souza and Kumar paid tribute to the deceased member of Udupi Taluk Umesh Shetty.

Since Bhujanga Shetty appointed as vice president, social standing chairman post was vacant, which filled by unanimously elected Sharath Rao as president of social standing committee chairman.
