ICYM Episcopal City Deanery holds Yuvamilan - 2K19

With great Zeal and Enthusiasm ICYM Episcopal City Deanery Mangalore held “YUVA MILAN – 2K19” on 1st September 2019 from 9:00AM to 5:00PM. The Youths of ICYM Episcopal City Deanery came together under one roof for “YUVA MILAN – 2K19” at Rosario Cathedral Hall.

The programme commenced with a prayer song led by Dheeraj Lobo and team. Mr. John Errol Samuel - Patron Sponsor of “YUVA MILAN 2K19” was the chief guest for the programme. V. Rev. Fr. J. B. Crasta - Vicar Forane, Episcopal City Deanery was the president of the programme. Yuvaspoorthi Rev. Fr. Ronald Prakash Dsouza - Diocesan Director, ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Rev. Fr. Ashwin Cardoza - Designate Director, ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Rev. Fr. Anil Francis Pinto - Director, ICYM Episcopal City Deanery, Leon Loyd Saldanha, Bendur - Diocesan Youth President, ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Delitia Asumptha Pereira, Urwa - President, Sonali Rodrigues, Bejai - Secretary, ICYM Episcopal City Deanery, Sanjay Dsouza, Bendur - Vice President, ICYM Episcopal City Deanery and Convener, “YUVA MILAN – 2K19” were present on the dais. Vishma Dcunha, Cascia - Lady Vice President, Vivian S Fernandes, Madanthyar - Treasurer, Jaison Leroy Pereira, Shirthady - Immediate Past President, ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Minol Mrinaline Braggs Omzoor - Public Relations Officer and Diocesan Nominated member for ICYM Episcopal City Deanery, Sharon Pinto Belthangady - President, ICYM Belthangady Deanery were also present for the programme. A total of 165 youths gathered for the programme from 11 units.

Delitia Asumptha Pereira - President, ICYM Episcopal City Deanery welcomed the gathering. “YUVA MILAN – 2K19” was inaugurated in a creative way by the Chief Guest - Mr. John Errol Samuel along with V. Rev. Fr. J.B. Crasta - president of the programme and other the dignitaries. Sonali Rodrigues - Secretary, ICYM Episcopal City Deanery read out the Annual Report of the year 2018-19. ICYM ECD Executives of 2018-19 were honoured with certificates during the occasion and a token of gratitude was given to Chrisel Vas, Jeppu for her service to ICYM ECD as Secretary of 2015-16 and wished her happy and fruitful married life. On behalf of ICYM Episcopal City Deanery Leon Loyd Saldanha, Bendur and Vishma Dcunha, Cascia were felicitated on being elected as Diocesan Youth President and Diocesan Youth Lady Vice President for the year 2019-20 from the Deanery.

V. Rev. Fr. J. B. Crasta was felicitated duing the occasion for his constant support and guidance given to the Youths. The Patron Sponsor of “YUVAMILAN - 2K19” Mr. John Errol Samuel was felicitated for his overwhelming support to the Youth. In the Presidential address V. Rev. Fr. J. B. Crasta appreciated all the youths for their active participation and encouraged the youths to take active participation in the upcoming events and wished a great success to the event. Sanjay Dsouza, Bendur – Convener, “YUVAMILAN – 2K19” proposed the vote of thanks. Alwyn Dsouza, Rosario - President, ICYM Rosario Unit compered the inaugural programme and concluded with the ICYM Theme song.

Ice breaker session was conducted by Sharon Pinto Belthangady - President, ICYM Belthangady Deanery. An inspirational talk was given to the youth by Rev. Fr. Ashwin Cardoza - Designated Director, ICYM Mangalore Diocese on the topic “Empowering the Youth and its relationship with the Church”. Rev. Fr Anil Pinto - Director, ICYM Episcopal City Deanery celebrated the Holy Eucharistic celebration for all the youths gathered. The event was packed with lots of fun filled games. Individual and Group games were conducted by Sharon Pinto, Belthangady - President, ICYM Belthangady Deanery, Elroy Saldanha, Omzoor - Former President, ICYM Mangalore Diocese (2017-18), Francis Monteiro, Siddakatte - Vice President, Veena Vas, Shakthinagar - Diocesan Youth  General Secretary, ICYM Mangalore Diocese.
Valedictory programme of “YUVA MILAN – 2K19” commenced at 4:15PM. V. Rev. Fr. J. B. Crasta - Vicar Forane, Episcopal City Deanery presided the programme along with Rev. Fr. Anil Pinto - Director, ICYM ECD, Leon Loyd Saldanha, Bendur - Diocesan Youth President, Veena Vas, Shakthinagar - Diocesan Youth General Secretary along with Diocesan Executive and Council members of ICYM Mangalore Diocese.

Token of gratitude was given to all those who helped in making the event successful. Prizes were awarded to all the groups. ICYM Milagres unit bagged Yuvamilan 2K19 Shield for their highest participation of youths. YUVA MILAN – 2K19 came to an end with baila dance. It was a day worth remembering for all the youths of Episcopal City Deanery.
