Konkani Natak Sabha holds Dance competition

The 19th Inter Parish Dance competition was organized for the parishioners of Mangalore Diocese by the Konkani Natak Sabha® Mangalore in the Don Bosco Hall here on Sunday, September 15.

The competition was inaugurated by Fr Paul Melwin D’Souza, President of Konkani Natak Sabha by lighting the lamp along with Vice President Sunil Menezes, General Secretary Judi D’Souza, Asst Secretary Floyd D’Mello and Raymond D’Cunha.

The Competition was held in three categories i.e. below 10 years, 10 to 15 years and above 15 years in Ladies duet, Gents duet, Mixed group and married couple.

152 participants in 8 categories from 12 Parishes took part in the competition.

In the below-15 year’s category, Cordel parish bagged the first place while Permannur parish stood second and Angelore third place.

In the above-15 years category, Cordel parish bagged the first place while Permannur parish stood second and Cascia third place.

Elson D’Souza, Godwin Fernandes and Ashmitha Correaa were the juries.

President Fr Paul Melwin D’Souza welcomed the gathering, Vice President Sunil Menezes announced the results. Joint Secretary Floyd D’Mello proposed vote of thanks. General Secretary Judith D’Souza introduced the judges. Raymond D’Cunha and Jossy Theodore compered the programme.
