Udupi: Former Municipal President and Billava leader Kiran Kumar has said that all five MLAs have written letters to party leaders in order to prevent Kota Srinivas Poojary from being in charge of Udupi district. We are not blaming anyone; we need to clarify if this is true, if this is not true, If such an attempt is made, the legislators should demand that the Kota Srinivas Poojary be given charge of the Dakshina Kannada district as well as the Udupi district. He can afford to be in charge of both districts. Billava has long sought to stop the community and demanded that it be stopped.

Addressing a media conference at Udupi Press Club on Tuesday, September 17, Billava Parishad leader Achyth Amin said that Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary has been placed in charge of Dakshina Kannada district adjacent to Udupi district for the purpose of politically extinguishing the Billava community. Kota Srinivas Poojary is eligible to be in charge of Udupi district based on the preference of the home district. Billava Parishad has demanded that the minister should be made in charge of Udupi district Billavas has long sought to stop the community and demanded that it be stopped.

Amin said that Home Minister Basavaraja Bommai has been appointed as the minister in charge of the Udupi district. The work of the Billava community has also been hurt by the governments of the past that Vinay Kumar Sorake also left his ministership. If the Billava community is using only the Vote Bank system and does an injustice to the Billawas, then the appropriate answer should be given in the future, he added.

B. Shanker Poojary BJP leader said that in the next few days, if any one 5 MLAs gets minister position, let them give as district in-charge minister. We will meet all the five MLAs of the district and place our demands on them, If this is not the case, Billava community leaders will meet on September 19 to decide on the next move, he said.
