Udupi : If any Billava community leaders’ made allegation against within the framework or the principles’ of the party, action will be taken, said Mattar Rathnakar Hegde, District President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unit.

He said on reply to the media persons during the media conference held at BJP office, Kadiyali on Friday, September 20, on the allegations by the Billava community leaders that Kota Srinivas Poojary not getting the district-in-charge minister due to the suspicious role of five MLAs of the district,  Mattar Rathnakar Hegde said that whatever be the allegations or any other matter of the Billava Community should inform the core committee of the party. It is internal issue of the party. However, Billava community, Bunts community and other communities has contributed a lot to the party. More than 70% of the people supported the party and BJP was able to get all seats in the district.

Kota Srinivas Poojary contributed the party lot and he is most devoted to the party along with he is most eligible person also. He was the MLC for both the undivided Dakshina Kannada district. He served as former minister and he was also served as opposition leader in the legislative council. It is the decision of the chief minister. Yeddyurappa gave chance as minister to Kota Srinivas Poojary. As many as 15 ministers did not get any post of their home constituency. We have in the party, no difference with Kota Srinivas Poojary for allotment of district in-charge minster for neighboring Dakshina Kannada district.

He said that the core committee of the party will organize the meeting. As per the core committee decision, the action will be taken on B N Shankar Poojary, former ZP president and Kiran Kumar former president of Udupi City Municipal Council.

Another query, the newly appointed district in-charge minister Bommai also Home Minister of the state, how can he active in Udupi district, presently he is not active in his own constituency and always present in Bengaluru,  Mattar Rathnakar Hegde said that Bommai serving as Home minister of the state who lot of responsibilities. He will attend in KDP meetings in the Udupi district being a capacity of district in-charge minister. If Bommai fails to fulfill as district in-charge minister, the district BJP will discuss in the state leadership, he said.

Mattar Rathnakar Hegde said that according the direction given by the BJP high command, the district BJP is organizing Rashtriya Ekatha Abhiyan with the slogan ‘One nation, one constitution’. Hence, district BJP organizing a public awareness campaign on abrogation of Article 370 for Jammu and Kashmir. Election will be held in Jammu and Kashmir. Ladakh also come under Union Territory of the nation.

He said that Rashtriya Ekatha Abhiyan will be inaugurated in Country Inn Hotel at Manipal on Saturday, September 21 which to inaugurate by D V Sadananda Gowda, Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers at 4.30 pm. Dr Tajeshwini MLC will give the key note address. All MLAs and BJP leaders of the district will participate in the awareness gathering.

Sanur Narasimha Kamath and Poornima Suresh Naik Conveners’ of Abhiyan in the district, Prabhakar Poojary BJP Udupi city block President and Shivakumar Ambalpady spokesperson were present in the press meet.
