Udupi: There is no setback for the Congress argument in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has said it will review the audio. No separate inquiry, it said. We requested a separate hearing, the court agreed. Hence, it is not setback to the Congress Party, State Opposition leader in the legislative council and former chief minister Siddaramiah.
He spoke to reporters on the prior to occasion of the closing ceremony of the 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi programme held at Udupi Town Hall, Ajjarkad here on Wednesday, November 6.
Siddharamiah said that It is true that the BJP and the JDS are in talks to save the government, he does not know what their two persons terms and conditions are. Both Devegowda and Kumaraswamy are agreed that they meet each other. And regarding Kumaraswamy’s tweet that Siddaramiah can fall the state government, Siddaramaih said that I have not said before like that and Kumaraswamy was thought wrongly which wrongly interpreted.
If the Yeddyurappa government is to survive, it should win at least 8 seats in the by-election. Failure to do so will cause the government to fall. He said that if the JDS would support the situation, he would ax it. If the JDS is indeed a secular party then the BJP will not support it. He stressed that, if given, the party’s color of secularism would unfold, said Siddaramiah.
Former minister Vinay Kumar Sorake, Pramod Madhwaraj, MLC Ivan D’Souza, former MLAs Gopal Poojary and U R Sabhapathy, Ashok Kumar Kodavoor President of district Congress Committee and other leaders were present.
