Dubai: Countdown begins for Konkan Yuva’s Traditional Family Sports Fest ‘Khel Mhel-2019’ on Nov 22

‘Khel Mhel’ a sports extravaganza with a package full of fun is all set to enthrall Dubai Konkan’s on Nov 22nd 2019 at Wonderers Sports Club, Sharjah from 8:30 Am -6:00 Pm .

The one day extravaganza is organized by Konkan Yuva which will bring out all your energy and thus ensure a fun filled day. A day that shall create a memory!!

The fest is organized under the motto ‘Revecha Uskyar Mathiyecho Khel’ which clearly showcases the love for the childhood Native games which simultaneously aims to gather all the Konkani Community to meet under one roof, with Band, Music , Gifts, Raffel Draw, Fancy Fete , Housie Housie, Food and Beverages  and many more, to celebrate togetherness with joy, cheer and laughter, especially for the Mangalorean Community.

The Inauguration would be held at Sharp 8:30AM, the Chief Guest along with the Teams, Captains, Volunteers and the Core KY Members would be escorted with the Nasik Band which would be the center of attraction, followed by the March Past from all teams there shall be a special Prize for the Best March Past Team. Followed by the inauguration, sports events like Tug of war, Treasure Hunt, Lagori, Moonwalk, Slow Cycle Race, Relay, Tyre Race, Coconut Smash etc. shall commence.

Konkan Yuva have already received an overwhelming response of 14 Teams under the Inter Parish Teams Category -Pernal, Kulur, Loretto, Mogarnad, Moodubelle, Bajpe, Derebail, Surathkal, Neermarga Bajal, Cordel, Kinnigoli and Sasthan,

Also 12 Teams are confirmed under Open to All Teams Category- Neermarga Stars, Costal Friends UAE, JMJ Prayer Group, Konkan Tharam, Merit Freight Avengers, Glowing Stars of Bantwal, Kudla Warriors, Infinity Dubai, SeZari, Matthikatte United, SMMC and Lilcy Challengers.
To keep the audience and kids enthralled, the Khel Mel has veteran emcee’s like- Mr.Viyon Veigas, Mr.Vernon Dsouza and Ms. Sweeny Dsouza along with Pancake Tuner DJ Shavin who will keep the participants and audience on their feet, there will also be stalls of mouthwatering food and beverage. Exciting spot prizes and Lucky draws will be held during the event.

Fancy Fete is also going to be an exciting part of the event which Includes:

Car Race, 7up 7Down, Bolt & Stick, Cola Ke Gala, Guess the Spices and Breaking the pot etc.

The Beautiful weather undoubtedly would encourage the participants to get into the fun mode and enjoy the week off in a very sporty manner. Konkan Yuva is known for its ethnicity. This will be upheld by the   Vovyo Competition the traditional part of Roce.
