Print Naman" Konkani Rosary Mobile App Launched
“NAMAN” the first Konkani rosary and daily prayer app was launched on 29 November 2019 by Emeritus Bishop of Mangalore Rev Fr Aloysius Paul D’Souza. The mobile app was launched during the solemn annual feast of St Joseph Vaz Shrine Mudipu.
The brain child of this mobile application is Fr Joswin D’Souza Asst PP of Valencia and Fr Rohan Lobo,Secretary of the Bishop. The app was developed by the students of NMAMITcollege Nitte, Mr Rahul D Shetty, Mr ReevanMario Miranda and Mr Shushanth Kille under the guidance of Dr Roshan Fernandes, Professor of NMAMIT College, Nitte. This app contains Morning and Evening prayers, Daily rosary, Angelus, Litany, Divine Mercy chaplet in both Audio and Text format in Konkani. The text of the prayers is both found in Kannada and Roman script.
The special features of the NAMAN app:
1. Once you download the app, it works in offline mode.
2. It works in all kinds of android phones.
When can the application be used?
1. Travelling time.
2. When you are alone.
3. To teach prayers to little children.
4. People who are not familiar with Konkani language.
How to download the application?
1. Go to Google play store and type Namanand press search button
