ICYM Episcopal City Deanery held Yuva Thalentan - 2020 on 16th February 2020 at 4:00 pm in Cascia Church Hall.

The programme began with a prayer song led by the youths of the deanery. Mr. Melwyn and Mrs. Anitha Cutinho were the chief guests for the programme along with Yuvaspoorthi Rev. Fr Ronald Prakash Dsouza – Director, ICYM Central Council Mangalore Diocese, Rev. Fr Harold Mascarenhas – Parish Priest, St. Rita Church Cascia, Rev. Fr Anil Pinto – Director, ICYM Episcopal City Deanery, Leon Loyd Saldanha – President, Veena Vas – General Secretary, Minol Braggs – Public Relations Officer, ICYM Central Council Mangalore Diocese and ICYM Episcopal City Deanery Representative from the Diocese, Delitia Asumptha Pereira – President, Sonali Rodrigues – Secretary, ICYM Episcopal City Deanery, Teena Pashao – Convener, Yuva Thalentan - 2020, Glen Tauro – President ICYM Cascia Unit, Jane Pinto – Vice President, Cascia Parish Pastoral Council were the dignitaries present on the dais.

Delitia Asumptha Pereira welcomed the guests and the gathering.  The programme was inaugurated in a unique way by the dignitaries. Rev. Fr Ronald Prakash Dsouza and Rev. Fr Harold Mascarenhas in their message congratulated and wished good luck to all the youths. Viola Dsilva - Immediate Past President, ICYM Episcopal City Deanery introduced the judges Rynal Sequeira, Jonita Rasquinha, Snehith Lobo to the gathering. Units of ICYM Episcopal City Deanery actively participated in the competition. Leon Loyd Saldanha and Minol Braggs, Delitia Asumptha Pereira and Snehith Lobo entertained the audience with a song and dance. As a token of gratitude, mementos were given to the judges and the chief guests by Rev. Fr. Anil Pinto - Director, ICYM Episcopal City Deanery.

The valedictory programme commenced at 6:00PM. Mr. Melwyn and Mrs. Anitha Cutinho – Chief guests of the programme along with Rev. Fr. Harold Mascarenhas – Parish Priest, St. Rita Church Cascia, Rev. Fr Kenneth Crasta, Rev. Fr Anil Pinto – Director, Delitia Asumptha Pereira – President, ICYM Episcopal City Deanery, Teena Pashao – Convener Yuva Thalentan 2020 were the dignitaries present on the dais.

Rev. Fr. Anil Pinto in his message congratulated all the youths for their active participation and thanked everyone for their support in making all the events successful. Dheeraj Lobo - Sports Secretary, ICYM Episcopal City Deanery announced the results of the competition. Prizes were distributed to the winner and runners up by Rev. Fr. Harold Mascarenhas. Teena Pashao – Convener Yuva Thalentan - 2020 rendered the vote of thanks. Sanjay Dsouza – Vice President, ICYM Episcopal City Deanery compered the formal programme. Sonali Rodrigues – Secretary ICYM Episcopal City Deanery compered the valedictory programme. ICYM Bejai Unit bagged the winner’s trophy and ICYM Valencia Unit bagged the runners up trophy of Yuva Thalentan – 2020. The programme concluded with ICYM theme song.
