Udupi: District Deputy Commissioner G. Jagdish has informed that the Udupi district people should comply with the restrictions imposed by the state government on corona control and strict legal action will be taken against those who violate these restrictions.

He was speaking at a press conference at the Udupi district office on Tuesday, March 24, 2020.

He said that around 900 people from abroad have been identified, a notice has been issued to all these houses and a mandatory home quarantine is observed. The patrol police and health department personnel will check in twice daily. There have been no coronavirus cases in the district so far, and if found, the district office will be converted into a Covid hospital, and corona patients will be treated and no patients will be treated there
