Udupi : The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) Vice President Manjunath Bhandary inaugurated the Digital Youth Workshop at Congress Bhavan, Brahmagiri here on Tuesday June 30. The workshop is a pre-event meeting organized by Udupi district Youth Congress on KPCC president elects D. k. Shivakumar’s swearing-in ceremony “Prathijna Dina” to be held at Bengaluru on July 2.

In his inaugural address, Manjunath Bhandary called the Youth Congress members to become leader with work with the people for the party. The person in the party is not important, but there much important as a party. The leadership youths should decide. Anyone getting into direct politics must be done with the attitude of working in favour of the people based on their needs and encouraged the youths to take up leadership. Youth should in favour of people and respond to people’s problems. Those who work at grass root level will decide the leadership to decide the position, he said.

Manjunath Bhandary called the youth to work hard and to make use of workshop to develop the leadership quality in you. He pointed out how he became the successful leader of the party and he gave gratitude to senior leaders of congress party for his leadership for the congress party as well. There should be some responsibility to build the party then we will organize you to become the leader in the party. There should be need to convert the votes with serving the people in booth level.

Vinay Kumar Sorake, former MP and former minister of Karnataka state also briefed how he becomes the successful leader of the party. He also was NSUI leader in the college and later with his hardwork for the party and for the people; he succeeded to become a party leader. He said that the congress party in the back foot in the previous elections due to NDA leaders’ campaign against the congress party with several false allegations and other way.  Congress party had done excellent job for the people with plenty of good works and projects for the people prior to the elections. Congress party defeat not because of poor work but strong false allegations on the party leaders by opposition BJP, Sorake said.

Ashok Kumar Kodavoor, President of Udupi District Congress Committee, Vishwas Amin President of District Youth Congress. U R Sabhapathi former MLA , Naveen D’Souza former Mangalore Municipal Corporation member, Prakhyat Shetty Vice president of district congress committee, Harish Kini, Habib Ali and other congress party leaders were present on the dais.
