Udupi : The swearing-in ceremony of newly appointed President of Karnataka State Congress Committee, D. K. Shivakumar will be broadcasted through zoom conference at 176 places of 10 blocks in Udupi district on Thursday, July 2.

Addressing a media conference in Udupi Press Club here on Tuesday, June 30, KPCC Vice president Manjunath Bhandari said that along with KPCC President D K Shivakumar, three working president’s auth taking ceremony also to be held meantime. The ceremony will be starts from 11am which will be one and half hour programme. The ceremony will be directly broadcasted all over the state from eight to ten thousand places which will be viewed by more than one crore Congress workers in more than 10 lacs of booths, he said.

Manjunath Bhandari said that D K Shivakumar will build the party to be strong with the intention to convert in Kedar based party; hence it would be responsibility to every congress workers to build the congress party. There would be need to join more students and youths I the party.

In order to re-establish the congress party in the state, modern technology and digitalization will be used and youths along with the students can attract the party in large numbers, he said.

To a query, congress party senior leader and former minister of state Pramod Madhwaraj is active still in the party. He is one the senior party leader in our party. It would be his stand which participating active in the party activities.

District Congress President Ashok Kumar Kodavoor said in the district in 176 places, DK Shivakumar’s auth taking ceremony will be directly broadcasted live telcast from 10.30am onwards and thousands of congress workers will watch the proceedings.

Former Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake also spoke during the press meet. Former MLA U R Sabhapathy, Harish Kini, Narasimha Murthy, Naveen D’Souza and others were present during the press meet.
