248 new cases for Coronavirus test positive on July 30, district tally increases to 4143

Udupi : As many as Two Hundred and Forty Eight new cases for Coronavirus test positive reported on Thursday, July 30, which takes the total positive cases in the district so far to 4143.
As many as 1403 persons are currently in home quarantine.
A total of 313 people are in isolation wards including 47 fresh admissions on Thursday. Among the new admissions in isolation wards there is 23 Coronavirus suspect; 9 have Severe Acute Respiratory System (SARI) and 15 are influenza like illness (ILI). As many as 1570 people, including 20 on Thursday have been released from Isolation wards so far.
A total of 31,044 samples have been collected so far including 784 on Thursday, out of which 424 are covid suspects and 254 are covid contacts, 7 are SARI, 73 are ILI and other Hot Spot are 26.
A total of 26,292 samples have turned out to be negative so far in the district, including 762 on Thursday and 609 reports are awaited.
As many as 4143 confirmed positive cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including 248 on Thursday, July 30.
As many as 2323 patients have been discharged so far, including 123 patients are discharged from Covid hospitals today. 1669 cases are currently active. Twenty Nine deaths have occurred so far in the district. One positive case has been transferred to Dakshina Kannada district.
