126 new cases for coronavirus test positive on August 3 in Udupi district, tally increased to 4800

Udupi : As many as One Hundred and Twenty Six new cases tested for Coronavirus positive reported on Monday, August 3, which taking the total positive cases in the district so far to 4800.
According to the district health bulletin, as many as 1301 persons are currently in home quarantine. Out of 126 positive cases, from Udupi taluk 58 cases, Karkala 28 and Kundapura 34 cases are reported. 6 cases from the inter districts.
A total of 310 people are in isolation wards including 39 fresh admissions on Monday. Among the new admissions in isolation wards there is 8 Coronavirus suspect; 14 have Severe Acute Respiratory System (SARI) and 17 are influenza like illness (ILI). As many as 1701 people, including 54 on Monday have been released from Isolation wards so far.
A total of 34,500 samples have been collected so far including 1122 on Monday, out of which 966 are covid suspects and 17 are covid contacts, 1 is SARI, 30 are ILI and other Hot Spot are 108.
A total of 29,174 samples have turned out to be negative so far in the district, including 1086 on Monday and 526 reports are awaited.
As many as 4800 confirmed positive cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including 126 on Monday, August 3.
As many as 2812 patients have been discharged so far, including 116 patients are discharged from Covid hospitals today. 1952 cases are currently active. Thirty Six COVID=19 deaths have occurred so far in the district. One positive case has been transferred to Dakshina Kannada district.
