Bangaluru : The state government has ordered the transfer of 17 IPS officers including Ida Martin Marbaniang, Anti Naxal Force, Karkala, Udupi district, IGP Roopa D and DCP Rohini Katoch.

The government has appointed Ida Martin Marbanyang as the new senior officer of the Naxal Suppression Force (ANF).

 He was an IPS officer of the 2012 batch. He served as SP of Kalburgi.

Moreover, when he was formerly a CID SP in Udupi district, he was filed a 1300 page indictment in connection with the murder case of Bhaskara Shetty, a businessman.

The post of Superintendent of the ANF unit has been vacant for four months in the Naxal suppression brigade, which has a central unit at Karkala.
