Udupi : As many as big spike of four hundred and two new cases tested for Coronavirus positive reported on Thursday, August 13, which taking the total positive cases in the district so far to 7175.

According to the district health bulletin, among 402 covid positive cases, 99 cases reported as symptomatic which 62 are male and 37 are females, meanwhile out of 303 cases of asymptomatic, 148 are males and 155 are females. The sources of infection are contacts 176, Influenza like illness (ILI) 81, Severe Acute Respiratory Illness (SARI) 3, Under Investigation 140, Domestic Traveller two and international traveler is nil.

Among 402 positive cases, where as positives cases from Udupi 232, from Kundapura 117, from Karkala taluk 49 and from out of district are Four.

Details of admissions/Isolation on August 13 are as: Out of 402 positive cases, COVID care Centre and in designated COVID Hospital, in designated COVID Health Hospital are 190 and  212 are in Home Isolation. Total admissions for Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid hospital and designated Covid health Hospital 5002 including 190 today. Totoal Home isolation are 2166 including  402 on today. Total number of admission and isolation till today are 7168, including 402 today August 13.

A total of 50,793 samples have been collected so far including 1697 on Thursday, August 13, out of which 950 are covid suspects, 276 are covid contacts, 7 are SARI, 38 are ILI and other Hot Spot are 426.

 A total of 41,763 samples have turned out to be negative so far in the district, including 1185 on Thursday and 1855 reports are awaited.

As many as 7175 confirmed positive cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including 402 on Thursday, August 13.

As many as 4258 patients have been discharged so far, including 292 discharged today on August 13, which 188 patients are discharged from Covid hospitals and 104 from Home Isolation. 2847 cases are currently active which active cases in hospitals are 1449 and in home are 1398.

Till today Seventy persons COVID=19 deaths have occurred in the district, including one death reported today on August 13, that’s 56 years old male from Udupi district.
