Udupi : As many as 217 new cases tested for coronavirus positive reported on Tuesday, August 25, which takes the total positive cases in the district so far to 10,453.

According to the district health bulletin to the media, among 217 covid positive cases, 81 cases reported as symptomatic which 50 are male and 31 are females, meanwhile out of 136 cases of asymptomatic, 59 are males and 77 are females. The sources for infection are contacts 82, influenza like illness(ILI) 69, Severe Acute Respiratory illness(SARI) 6, Under investigation 58. Domestic Traveler 1 and international traveler is one.

Among 217 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 122, from Kundapura 40 and Karkala taluk 51 and from out of district are Four.

Details of admissions/Isolation on August 25 are : Out of 217 positive cases, COVID care Centre and in designated COVID Hospital, in designated COVID Health Hospital are 59 and Home Isolation are 158. Total admissions for Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid hospital and designated covid health hospital are 6228 including 59 today. Total Home Isolation is 4218 including 158 today. Total number of admission and isolation till today are 10446 including 217 today on August 25.

A total of 66,694 samples have been collected so far including 1338 on Tuesday, August 25, out of which 945 are covid suspects, 200 are covid contacts, 11 are SARI, 36 are ILI and other Hot Spot are 196.

A total of 55,346 samples have turned out to be negative so far in the district, including 1233 on Tuesday and 895 test reports are pending.

As many as 10,453 confirmed positive cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including 217 on Tuesday, August 25.

As many as 7737 patients have been discharged so far, including 180 discharged today on Tuesday, August 25, which 50 patients are discharged from Covid Hospitals and 130 from Home Isolation, 2625 cases are currently active which active cases in hospitals are 1041 and in home are 1584.

Till today Ninety One persons succumbed to death due to Coronavirus in the district, including two on Tuesday, August 25. Among them, one male from Udupi taluk aged 87 years old and one male from Kundapura taluk aged 67 years succumbed death today on Tuesday, August 25.
