Udupi : As many as 209 new cases tested for coronavirus positive reported on Thursday, August 27, which takes the total positive cases in the district so far to 10,913.

According to the district health bulletin to the media, among 209 covid positive cases, 79 cases reported as symptomatic,  out of which 55 are male and 24 are females, meanwhile out of 130 cases of asymptomatic, 59 are males and 71 are females. The sources for infection are contacts 78, influenza like illness(ILI) 62, Severe Acute Respiratory illness(SARI) 3, Under investigation 60. Domestic Traveler 6 and international traveler is nil.

Among 209 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 106, from Kundapura 50 and Karkala taluk 45 and from out of district are 8.

Details of admissions/Isolation on August 27 are : Out of 209 positive cases, COVID care Centre and in designated COVID Hospital, in designated COVID Health Hospital are 80 and Home Isolation are 129. Total admissions for Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid hospital and designated covid health hospital are 6426 including 80 today. Total Home Isolation is 4480 including 129 today. Total number of admission and isolation till today are 10906 including 209 today on August 27.

A total of 68,787 samples have been collected so far including 969 on Thursday, August 27, out of which 461 are covid suspects, 220 are covid contacts, 10 are SARI, 39 are ILI and other Hot Spot are 239.

A total of 57,091 samples have turned out to be negative so far in the district, including 708 on Thursday and 783 test reports are pending.

As many as 10,913 confirmed positive cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including 209 on Thursday, August 27.

As many as 8189 patients have been discharged so far, including 214 discharged today on Thursday, August 27, which 35 patients are discharged from Covid Hospitals and 179 from Home Isolation, 2623 cases are currently active which active cases in hospitals are 1103 and in home are 1520.

Till today Ninety Three persons succumbed to death due to Coronavirus in the district, including one on Thursday, August 27. One male person from Udupi aged 72 years succumbed to death today on Thursday, August 27, 2020.
