KCWA successfully organized its First Ever Chartered Flight to Mangalore
Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA) is the foremost and leading Mangalorean Association in Kuwait, primarily engaged in funding the poor children’s educational needs and allied purposes, regardless of religion, caste & creed back home in India and Kuwait for the past thirty-two years. It gives us great joy to mention that KCWA’s charity will soon cross IRS 5 Crores. Reaching this milestone would not have been possible without the constant support of our generous donors, well-wishers, and our very own committed members.
During the current pandemic COVID-19 situation throughout, many people are stranded in Kuwait with a hope to soon travel to their hometown. With this thought in mind, KCWA has taken an initiative to support its fellow brethren to reach their homes safely. It is a proud moment for KCWA to successfully organize its First Ever Chartered Flight in coordination with Al Rashed International Travel – Kuwait.
Though it was quite a challenging project, but not impossible to God Almighty, and through the intercession of our blessed Mama Mary, KCWA managed to successfully complete all the required procedures. Besides, prayers and best wishes of our members and well-wishers have helped us achieve success in this project.
The Kuwait National Carrier “Kuwait Airways Flight # KU 1739” departed Kuwait on 28th August 2020 with 108 adult 6 children and 4 infant passengers on board at 2.00pm. The passengers were accorded a safe departure at the Kuwait International Airport by Mr. Michael Pinto - Vice President KCWA along with the committee members and Mr. Wilfred D’Cunha -Representative Al Rashed Int’l Travel-Kuwait, who is also a committed member of KCWA.
The historic flight touched the ground of Mangalore International Airport - tabletop runway on 28 August 2020 at 9.15 pm. KCWA President Maria Rinna D’Souza along with her team wishes all the passengers a warm welcome to the homeland and happy healthy stay with their loved ones. The participatory charter flight project has received immense support from the people, Kuwait Airways and Al Rashed Int’l Travel.
KCWA Managing committee would like to express their gratitude to its members, communities, and individuals who supported this cause. We also thank our Web Administrator Mr. Allan D Souza for efficiently coordinating and timely updating the progress of the project on KCWA social media handles and website. In a very special way expresses gratitude and applaud to KCWA Member Mr. Wilfred D’Cunha who is the Team Member of Al Rashed International Travel Kuwait.
KCWA extends its sincere gratitude’s to the Indian Embassy Kuwait, DGCA Kuwait, DGCA India, Karnataka State Government Nodal Officer Ms. Meena Nagaraj, Mangalore International Airport Authorities and Mr. Manish, Nodal Officer who took an additional step to arrange Taxi services for our Kuwait passengers to reach home safely in the night.
