Udupi : As many as 254 new cases tested for coronavirus positive reported on Sunday, August 30, which takes the total positive cases in the district so far to 11,513.

According to the district health bulletin to the media, among 254 covid positive cases, 105 cases reported as symptomatic,  out of which 67 are male and 38 are females, meanwhile out of 149 cases of asymptomatic, 88 are males and 61 are females. The sources for infection are contacts 107, influenza like illness(ILI) 92, Severe Acute Respiratory illness(SARI) 4, Under investigation 47. Domestic Traveler 4 and international traveler is nil.

Among 254 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 145, from Kundapura 61 and Karkala taluk 40 and from out of district are 8.

Details of admissions/Isolation on August 30 are : Out of 254 positive cases, COVID care Centre and in designated COVID Hospital, in designated COVID Health Hospital are  and Home Isolation are 78. Total admissions for Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid hospital and designated covid health hospital are 6677 including 78 today. Total Home Isolation is 4829 including 176 today. Total number of admission and isolation till today are 11,506 including 254 today on August 30.

A total of 71,120 samples have been collected so far including 1029 on Sunday, August 30, out of which 790 are covid suspects, 99 are covid contacts, 4 are SARI, 23 are ILI and other Hot Spot are 113.

A total of 59,367 samples have turned out to be negative so far in the district, including 735 on Sunday and 240 test reports are pending.

As many as 11,513 confirmed positive cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including 254 on Sunday, August 30.

As many as 8798 patients have been discharged so far, including 195 discharged today on Sunday, August 30, which 82 patients are discharged from Covid Hospitals and 254 from Home Isolation, 2620 cases are currently active which active cases in hospitals are 1182 and in home are 1438

Till today Ninety Five persons succumbed to death due to Coronavirus in the district. No death cases reported in Udupi district as on Sunday, August 30, 2020.
