Udupi : As many as 168 new cases tested for coronavirus positive and two deaths reported on Friday, September 11, which takes the total positive cases in the district so far to 13,743.

According to the district health bulletin to the media, among 168 covid positive cases, 96 cases reported as symptomatic,  out of which 62 are male and 34 are females, meanwhile out of 72 cases of asymptomatic, 40 are males and 32 are females. The sources for infection are contacts 107, influenza like illness(ILI) 49, Severe Acute Respiratory illness(SARI) 1, Under investigation 11, Domestic Traveler 0 and international traveler is nil.
Among 168 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 96, from Kundapura 44 and Karkala taluk 26 and from out of district are 2.
Details of admissions/Isolation on September 11 are: Out of 168 positive cases, COVID care Centre and in designated COVID Hospital, in designated COVID Health Hospital are 47 and Home Isolation is 121. Total admissions for Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid hospital and designated covid health hospital are 7346,including 47 today. Total Home Isolation is 6390 including 121 today. Total number of admission and isolation till today are 13,736 including 168 today on September 11.
A total of 82,948 samples have been collected so far including 1584 on Friday, September 11, out of which 1435 are covid suspects, 68 are covid contacts, 9 are SARI, 54 are ILI and other Hot Spot are 18.
A total of 68,795 samples have turned out to be negative so far in the district, including 1320 on today and 410 test reports are pending.
As many as 13,743 confirmed positive cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including 168 on Friday, September 11.
As many as 11,784 patients have been discharged so far, including 232 discharged today on Friday, September 11, which 63 patients are discharged from Covid Hospitals and 169 from Home Isolation, 1831 cases are currently active which active cases in hospitals are 834 and in home are 997.
Till today 128 persons are succumbed to death due to Coronavirus in the district, including two patients succumbed to death today on Friday, September 11.
