Udupi : As many as 169 new cases tested for coronavirus positive and two deaths reported in Udupi district on Saturday, September 12, which takes the total positive cases in the district so far to 13,912.

According to the district health bulletin to the media, among 169 covid positive cases, 76 cases reported as symptomatic,  out of which 45 are male and 31 are females, meanwhile out of 93 cases of asymptomatic, 47 are males and 46 are females. The sources for infection are contacts 58, influenza like illness(ILI) 46, Severe Acute Respiratory illness(SARI) 1, Under investigation 58, Domestic Traveler 5 and international traveler is one.
Among 169 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 95, from Kundapura 47 and Karkala taluk 22 and from out of district are 5.
Details of admissions/Isolation on September 12 are: Out of 169 positive cases, COVID care Centre and in designated COVID Hospital, in designated COVID Health Hospital are 41 and Home Isolation is 128. Total admissions for Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid hospital and designated covid health hospital are 7387, including 41 today. Total Home Isolation is 6518 including 128 today. Total number of admission and isolation till today are 13,905 including 169 today on September 12.
A total of 84,073 samples have been collected so far including 1125 on Saturday, September 12, out of which 848 are covid suspects, 170 are covid contacts, 5 are SARI, 39 are ILI and other Hot Spot are 63.
A total of 69,710 samples have turned out to be negative so far in the district, including 1125 on today and 451 test reports are pending.
As many as 13,912 confirmed positive cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including 169 on Saturday, September 12.
As many as 12,022 patients have been discharged so far, including 238 discharged today on Saturday, September 12, which 91 patients are discharged from Covid Hospitals and 147 from Home Isolation, 1760 cases are currently active which active cases in hospitals are 782 and in home are 978.
Till today 130 persons are succumbed to death due to Coronavirus in the district, including two patients succumbed to death today on Saturday, September 12. Both two females deaths from Udupi district aged 89 and 70 years old respectively reported today.
