Udupi : The District Police on Monday, September 14 raided the motorists in violation of the Motor Vehicle Act and against the illegal use of drugs.

In Kalsanka Circle, the city police station and city traffic police inspected the vehicle in all four directions. Motorists in violation of traffic rules heated up riders, filed cases for 115 motorists in 5pm to 7 pm and fined Rs 65,000/=.Riding the harsh horn of the vehicle, the tint glass of the car, the auto rickshaw, the installation of blue lights for the car and bikes, the riders who changed the car and bikes to various parts of the car, heated the wand and threw it all over the place. Police raided the cars ad two wheelers especially to investigate ride with drugs and check the vehicles riding with illegal drugs.

The riders who leave the blue light on the bikes and headlights must leave the cinematic heroes while on riding the bikes. Vehicles must be used as per rules. The Superintendent of Police Vishnuvardhan strictly warned that vehicles should not be attracted to the accident and the public should not be invited to the accident.

SP Vishnuvardhan himself and ASP Kumarachandra inspected the vehicles. DySP Jaishankar, SI Shakti Velu and Traffic station SI Khadar Shah were on the scene during the operation.

The traffic police have registered 80 cases and fined Rs. 40,000 while the city police registered 35 cases and fined a sum of Rs 25,000.
