191 new cases for coronavirus test positive on October 9 and one death reported in Udupi district

Udupi : As many as 191 new cases tested for coronavirus positive and one death reported in Udupi district on Friday, October 9, which takes the total positive cases in the district so far to 18,985 and deaths tally 163.
According to the district health bulletin to the media, among 191 covid positive cases, 132 cases reported as symptomatic, out of which 80 are male and 52 are females, meanwhile out of 38 cases of asymptomatic, 38 are males and 21 are females.
Among 191 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 91, from Kundapura 48 and Karkala taluk are 35 and from other districts are 17.
Details of admissions/Isolation on October 9 are: Out of 191 positive cases, COVID care Centre and in designated COVID Hospital, in designated COVID Health Hospital are 34 and Home Isolation is 157.
A total of 1,40,812 samples have been collected so far including 2161 on 9.10.2020, A total of 1,21,827 samples have turned out to be negative so far in the district, including 1982 on today. Total discharged patients till today are 16,917 including 225 today.
As many as 18,985 confirmed positive cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district including 191 today. Till today 163 persons are succumbed to death due to Coronavirus in the district, including one death reported today on Friday, October 9.
