Print Udupi : Very Rev Dr. Lawrence C. D’Souza, Rector and Parish Priest of Milagres Cathedral Kallianpur , Udupi Diocese has resigned from the positions due to health related reasons.
The Bishop Most Rev Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo has accepted his resignation and Fr. Lawrence will stand relieved of his pastoral duties with effect from October 28, 2020.
Very Rev Fr. Valerian Mendonca, parish priest of Our Lady of Sorrows Church has been appointed as the new Rector by the Bishop and will take his charge on October 28, 2020.

Very Rev Fr Valerian Mendonca was the first Chancellor of the diocese. He also served as Principal of Milagres College, Kallianpur, earlier as assistant parish priest of Milagres and aslo Chaplain of Ozanam Home for the Aged, Kallianpur.
