COVID-19 updates : 179 new positive cases today, tally crosses 20,000 mark in Udupi district

Udupi : As many as 197 new cases tested for coronavirus positive and two death reported in Udupi district on Wednesday, October 14, which takes the total positive cases in the district so far to crossed 20,000 mark and deaths tally 170.
According to the district health bulletin to the media, among 174 covid positive cases, 67 cases reported as symptomatic, out of which 42 are male and 25 are females, meanwhile out of 130 cases of asymptomatic, 68 are males and 62are females.
Among 197 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 116, from Kundapura 41 and Karkala taluk are 38 and from other districts are 2.
Details of admissions/Isolation on October 14 are: Out of 197 positive cases, COVID care Centre and in designated COVID Hospital, in designated COVID Health Hospital are 32 and Home Isolation is 165.
A total of 1,49,676 samples have been collected so far including 1220 on 14.10.2020, A total of 1,29,598 samples have turned out to be negative so far in the district, including 1041 on today. Total discharged patients till today are 17,901 patients including 163 today.
As many as 20,078 confirmed positive cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district including 197 today. Till today 170 persons are succumbed to death due to Coronavirus in the district, including two deaths reported today on Wednesday, October 14.
