Udupi police arrests three women accused robbery of purse in city bus

Udupi : Three women have been arrested within 12 hours for allegedly stealing a woman’s purse in a city bus.
The accused identified as Ballari of North Karnataka residents Latha, Kavita and Sabita. The three women stole ATM cards, cash and other documents from Archana Rao’s bag who a fellow passenger. All three accused boarded a city bus near Kunjibettu and stood next to Archana Rao. The accused had an infant with them which they gave Archana Rao to hold. During this time, the accused stole the purse of Archana Rao.
Udupi City Police after the complaint lodged by Archana Rao, succeeded to arrest all three women within 12 hours who had booked a ticket to travel to Dharwad. The police with the help of autorickshaw drivers and local people arrested the accused in the case and recovered Rs. 32,400 in cash and two mobile phones and two ATM cards from the accused.
