District Police arrest four Irani gang members for gold ornaments robbery.

Udupi : District police have succeeded in the arrest of four inter-state Irani gang members and seized 65grams of gold, approximate worth of Rs. 7 lakh.
The arrested Irani gang members were identified as Zakir Hussain(26), a resident of Rampura Irani Mohalla at Ahmednagar, Maharastra, Kambar Raheem Mirja(32), a resident of same district of Maharastra, Akshay Sanjav Gosavi(22), a resident of Sanjaynagar of Rampura, Ahmednagar district of Maharastra and Sharukh Bandenavaz Shaikh(24) , a resident of Sainiknagar of Rampura taluk, Ahmednagar district, Maharastra.
The gang would target of lonely women, old persons while walking on the road and helping them claiming to be policemen to them. Meanwhile, they would ask them to remove their jewellery stating it was not safe due to miscreants ahead of their road and helping them to keep in their bags and with tricks looting the ornaments.
As per the district police the gang used cars and bikes for the crime. Two of them would ride in a bike for looting the persons and then they will proceed towards the car parked nearby. After the crime they would change their dress and drive the car while those two in the car would take the bike to escape being caught or recognized by the people nearby.
Meanwhile these four burglars were acquainted with the people at various places of Delhi, Maharastra and different districts of Karnataka. The gang was already booked each cases in Udupi Town, Kundapur, Chickkamagaluru, Bantwal and in Urwa at Mangaluru and four cases were registered at Vijayapura police station limits.
The police seized a gold chain weighing 12 grams, a usued car, a shine bike and cash of Rs 5100 which accused committed crime in Mangaluru. As much as 65 gram gold whih was sold in Srirampura, Ahmed Nagar at Maharashtra was also seized. The total worth of the seized from the accused is Rs 7 lakh, police said.
Under the guidance from SP Vishnuvardhan, Additional SP Kumarachandra, DySP Jaishankar and with police team led by DCIB inspector Manjappa D R., DCIB ASI Ravichandra and DCIB staff Ramu Hegde, Chandra Shetty, Santhosh Kundar, Suresh, Raghavendra Uppunda, Rajkumar, Dayanand Prabhu, Shivanand Poojary, Raghavendra and others were participated. The gold ornaments were seized by Saktivelu, Udupi Town PSI, Sadashiva Gavaroji, Kundapur PSI, and their staff Riyaz, Lokesh, Sudhakar, ASI Kundapur Santhosh and Manjunath.
